Late/Absence Procedures

Absences from School 

If your child is absent from school, it is essential that you send a notification eith via Parent Mail or telephone the school office, giving a reason for the absence by 9am.

We must keep statistics of children arriving late to school and for this purpose the school governors have deemed that children arriving later than 9am are late. 

If your child has to leave early or arrive late, again, please send an explanatory note on Parent Mail or phone the school office and ensure you bring your child to the main entrance door.

A child who leaves school early must be collected by an adult.

It is extremely important that you do not arrange family holidays during term time.

Holidays in term time must be requested from the Headteacher and Attendance Team.  It is highly unlikely that any holiday request will be authorised.  Proceeding with an unauthorised holiday may result in a Fixed Penalty Notice from the LA.
